Join us at Church Street Brewery  in Itasca, IL for pretty lettering! Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY Bride-to-be, or just a crafty individual, in this workshop you’ll be learning an introduction to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink. We will cover all the basics and get you ready to add those special lettered details to all your holiday tables, Christmas trees, hostess gifts, gift tags, holiday card mailings and more!

Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper and straight pen holder), and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop! Additionally, we will be lettering on a take-home acrylic ornament at the end of our class time!

Come early to grab your seat and order food or drink. Drinks and food available to order before and during class.

Your instructor Megan Hlavach Stodola will guide you through the process of composing your drawing, mixing colors, various brush techniques, and help with any individual instruction you may need to complete your painting.
